He reckoned that the team has invested so much in acquiring the services of Tim David, but has not given him enough opportunities in the ongoing season. He mentioned that the youngster has done well in the PSL 2021/22 and deserved a chance due to his consistent performances in the other franchise leagues as well.

“You have invested so much in Tim David. In the recent PSL, he scored a good amount of runs. In the other franchise leagues as well, he has scored runs in a consistent manner for the last six months. He could not get enough opportunities, and I think he is someone for the future. Dasgupta further added that David is an impactful player in this format and even if he performs in one out of four games, he will win that game, which he has shown in the T20 leagues. The former cricketer welcomed the inclusion of the youngster and hopes that he will be able to get a fair opportunity to showcase his talent.
