कन्फ़ेडरेशन ऑफ़ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्ज़ (कैट) ने आगामी 11-12 जनवरी को ई-कामर्स और जीएसटी सहित देश के व्यापार से जुड़े अन्य गम्भीर मुद्दों पर कानपुर में देश के सभी राज्यों के प्रमुख व्यापारी नेताओं का एक राष्ट्रीय व्यापारी सम्मेलन आयोजित किया था। लेकिन जिस तेज़ी से देश भर में कोरोना के मामलों में वृद्धि हो रही है वे बेहद चिंता का विषय है, उसी को देखते हुए कैट ने इस दो दिवसीय सम्मेलन को स्थगित कर दिया है।

    कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन ऑफ़ आल इंडिया ट्रेडर्स (कैट) ने रविवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को भेजे एक पत्र में देश में कोरोनोवायरस की श्रृंखला को तोड़ने के लिए राष्ट्रीय लॉकडाउन लागू करने का आग्रह किया है। कैट ने कहा कि ऐसे समय में जब कोरोना से ग्रस्त लोगों का आंकड़ा प्रतिदिन 4 लाख से अधिक है और पिछले सप्ताह के दौरान प्रतिदिन लगभग 3.90 लाख व्यक्तियों के औसत से कोरोना ग्रस्त होने की वर्तमान स्थिति में देश के लोगों को कोरोना से बचाने के लिए राष्ट्रीय लॉकडाउन लगाना अब वक्त की जरूरत है। देश में कोरोना की तीसरी लहर की आशंका को देखते हुए कैट ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को 'बाल चिकित्सा कार्य बल' बनाने का भी सुझाव दिया है जहाँ बच्चे के संक्रमण होने की सम्भावना को लेकर आवश्यक कदम अभी से उठाये जाए सकें। इसके अलावा आइसोलेशन या उपचार केंद्रों के लिए नए डिजाइन बनाने की आवश्यकता होगी क्योंकि संक्रमित बच्चे के माता-पिता को भी उसके साथ रहना होगा।
