The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be a grand affair with two new teams – Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants – coming into the picture. Hence, for the very first time since 2011, IPL will be a 10-team event and, fans can’t keep calm. Meanwhile, squads for the gala competition will be finalized in the IPL 2022 mega auction, which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

Many sides are set to undergo a revamp as the eight existing franchises were allowed to retain a maximum of just four players. As far as the new sides are concerned, they picked three players apiece from the list of non-retained players. Now, 590 players – 370 Indians and 220 overseas – have been shortlisted to go under the hammer and it would be interesting to see how the final squads will look like.
