Union grants to Goa have increased hugely from ₹432 crore in 2013-14 under the UPA government to ₹2567 Cr in 2020-21 under Double Engine BJP government

Under the UPA government, Goa received only ₹120 crore for road development from 2009 to 2014. Post-2014, the NDA government has allocated almost ₹4000 crore to Goa for road development.

To fulfill the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa, various initiatives were taken to empower the youth and to make the state self-sufficient. For example, under the PM Mudra Yojana, ₹1458 crore were disbursed to 1.21 lakh beneficiaries in the past 5 years.

The BJP government saw an increase in the budgetary allocation for labour and employment, from ₹7422 lakhs in 2012 to ₹14,608 lakhs in 2020, an unprecedented 100% increase in budgetary allocation.
