Hamirpur(Himachal Pradesh): Elections for the post of president and vice-president were held today in the nagar parishad Sujanpur. In this, the Congress was overturned to occupy the presidency, while the BJP-backed candidate won the vice-presidential post. Sujanpur Municipal Council, four Congress, four BJP supported and one Independent won. Later, Independent Pawan Kumar joined BJP and gave an absolute majority in the city council, but in the presidential election held today, Veena Dhiman of Congress-backed Ward No. 8 took over.
