Una (Himachal Pradesh) : The Congress has occupied the posts of Chairman and Vice Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Una. Both BJP and Congress parties fielded candidates for the posts of Chairman and Vice Chairman. For the post of the chairman of Panchayat Samiti Una, the BJP had played a bet on its district president Manohar Lal Sharma. But the BJP district president lost this election. Earlier, Congress candidate Ramesh Chand got 15 votes in the election for the post of Vice Chairman , while BJP candidate Mahendra Chhibber got 13 votes. There was a close fight between BJP district president Manohar Lal Sharma and Congress candidate Jaspal. In the 28-member Panchayat Samiti, both Congress and BJP candidates got 14.14 votes. After the tie was held, the post of Chairman was decided from the lottery system, in which Jaspal of Congress won the game.
