एक समय था जब जिला मंडी के तहत करसोग के प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक पर्यटन स्थल तत्तापानी में मकर संक्रांति मेला खूब धूमधाम से मनाया जाता था। मकर संक्रांति के पर्व पर लोग यहां पर स्नान करते थे और तुला दान भी करते थे। कोरोना बंदिशों के चलते लगातार दूसरे साल मकर संक्रांति का मेला रद्द कर दिया है। आज तीर्थ स्थल तत्तापानी में ना तो सड़कों के किनारे खुले में दुकानें सजी है और ना ही वैसी चहल पहल है। तुला दान पर प्रतिबंध है। परंतु तातापानी प्राचीन पूजा स्थल तथा आस्था का केंद्र होने के चलते पूजा पाठ एवं स्थानीय स्तर पर कुछ मामलों में छूट है। हालांकि, आज कुछ लोग यहां पर स्नान के लिए पहुंचे हैं। लेकिन उनकी संख्या पहले से बहुत कम है। ये सब कोरोना के बढते खौफ के चलते हुआ है।
There was a time when Makar Sankranti fair was celebrated with great pomp in Tatapani, the famous religious tourist place of Karsog under District Mandi. On the festival of Makar Sankranti, people used to take bath here. Due to Corona restrictions, the fair of Makar Sankranti has been canceled for the second consecutive year. Today, in Tattapani, the pilgrimage site, neither the shops are adorned in the open on the side of the roads nor there is such a movement. Due to Tatapani being the ancient place of worship and the center of faith, there is exemption in some cases in worship and at the local level. However, today some people have reached here for a bath. But their number is already very less. All this has happened due to the increasing fear of Corona.
