ऊना। वैश्विक महामारी कोविड-19 का यह असर है कि भारत में होने वाले T20 वर्ल्ड कप (T20 World Cup) के मैच भारत से छिन कर यूएई में चले गए हैं, इसके साथ ही धर्मशाला में क्रिकेट मैच होने का सपना टूट गया है। बीसीसीआई द्वारा T20 वर्ल्ड कप के आयोजन को लेकर भारत में 8 बड़े क्रिकेट स्टेडियमों को चिन्हित किया गया था जिनमें हिमाचल प्रदेश के धर्मशाला स्थित इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में भी वर्ल्ड कप के मैच खेले जाने थे। हिमाचल प्रदेश क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association) का दावा है कि यदि इंटरनेशनल नहीं तो घरेलू मैचों के आयोजन को लेकर जल्द उचित कदम उठाए जा सकते हैं। एचपीसीए के सचिव सुमित शर्मा का कहना है कि प्रदेश की सबसे बड़ी क्रिकेट की संस्था राजस्व इकट्ठा करने की बजाय क्रिकेट गतिविधियों के आयोजन पर ध्यान केंद्रित करती है। इसके चलते जल्द ही क्रिकेट गतिविधियों को हिमाचल प्रदेश में घरेलू स्तर पर शुरू करने का खाका तैयार किया जा रहा है।
