देश भर में 1 जुलाई से 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' पर पाबंदी लगा दी गई है। इस पाबंदी का पालन सख्ती से हो, इसके लिए दिल्ली नगर निगम लगातार प्रयास कर रहा है। इस पाबंदी को नहीं मानने वालों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए चालान किया जा रहा है और इसके साथ ही लोगों को जागरूक भी किया जा रहा है। इसी कड़ी के चलते दिल्ली नगर निगम के शाहदरा नॉर्थ जोन क्षेत्र के दिलशाद गार्डन इलाके में एक जागरूकता रैली निकाली गई। इस रैली में शाहदरा नॉर्थ जोन के डीसी अमित कुमार शर्मा के अलावा कई निगम अधिकारी, स्कूल के टीचर और बच्चे शामिल हुए। हाथों में पोस्टर बैनर लेकर निकले बच्चों ने कॉलोनियों में जाकर लोगों को सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के दुष्प्रभाव के बारे में बताया। अमित कुमार शर्मा ने बताया कि निगम की तरफ से स्वतंत्रता की अमृत महोत्सव, स्वच्छता का संदेश और सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के दुष्प्रभावों, वृक्षारोपण को लेकर क्षेत्र में लगातार जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जा रहा है, इसी अभियान के तहत दिलशाद गार्डन में स्कूली बच्चों को लेकर जागरूकता रैली निकाली गई जिसमें क्षेत्र के लोगों ने भी हिस्सा लिया।

पर्यावरण पर प्लास्टिक के बढ़ते दुष्प्रभाव पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए सरकार ने आज से देशभर में सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है। आपको बता दें कि सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक, प्लास्टिक से बनी ऐसी चीज़ें को कहते हैं जिसका हम सिर्फ़ एक ही बार इस्तेमाल करते हैं। तो ऐसे में सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक की वजह से पर्यावरण को लगातार रूप से हो रही भारी क्षति को देखते हुए सरकार ने आज के दिन यानि 1 जुलाई से सरकार ने सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक पर बैन लगा दिया है। केंद्रीय पर्यावरण मंत्रालय ने एक लिस्ट जारी कर प्लास्टिक से बने 19 उत्पादों पर बैन लगाया है, जो कि कुछ इस प्रकार हैं

प्लास्टिक के थैले अब धीरे-धीरे बाज़ार से गायब होने लगे हैं. इसके अलावा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक से जुड़ी तमाम वस्तुएं भी धीरे-धीरे मार्केट से खत्म हो रही हैं. इसके साथ ही साथ अब बर्थडे पर केक काटने के लिए प्लास्टिक की चाकू की जगह लकड़ी के चाकू मिलने लगे हैं। और ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि सरकार ने एक जुलाई से सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक को प्रतिबंधित कर दिया है. तो इस वजह से पॉलिथिन बैग समेत कई चीज़ें अब बाज़ार में बेहद कम मात्रा में दिखाई दे रही हैं. जिन लोगों ने रखा है, वो चुपके से इसका इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं. आपको बता दें कि भारत सरकार ने 1 जुलाई से करीब डेढ़ दर्जन से अधिक प्लास्टिक की वस्तुओं को बैन कर दिया है. और अगर बात करें ऐसा करने के पीछे की वजह की तो कूड़ा-करकट वाले सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक से होने वाले प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए सरकार ने यह ठोस कदम उठाए हैं. तो अब इसी के साथ हम जानेंगे
