झारखण्ड सरकार में रहे पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री सह सिल्ली विधायक सुदेश कुमार महतो, एवं अन्य अतिथियो ने कबुतर एवं बैलुन उड़ाकर कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किये।
इससे पूर्व खेल ध्वज का ध्वजा रोहण एवं मशाल जलाया गया।
वहीं विधायक ने प्रतिभा दर्शन महोत्सव में हिस्सा ले रहे खिलाड़ियों को शपथ दिलाई। इस दौरान रंगारंग कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए गए।
उद्घाटन के पश्चात कई खेलों का आयोजन किया गया। विधायक सुदेश महतो ने कहा कि खेल महोत्सव का आयोजन से क्षेत्र में छुपे हुए खिलाड़ी हमे मिलते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि

पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री एवं आजसू सुप्रीमो सुदेश कुमार महतो अपने जन्म दिन के मौके पर सोमवार को सिल्ली प्रखंड के 12 हजार विद्यार्थियों को प्रोत्साहित किया । योजना के तहत प्रखंड के संकुल संसाधन सेवी, पूर्व शिक्षक, शिक्षक, जनप्रतिनिधि, ग्राम प्रधान, चूल्हा प्रमुख एवं सक्रिय दीदी ने बच्चों बीच वर्ग दो से आठवीं तक के विद्यार्थियों के बीच लेखन सामग्री का वितरण किया । ज्ञात हो कि कोरोना काल के दौरान सुदेश कुमार महतो के निर्देश पर बच्चों को ऑनलाइन पढ़ाई करने एवं उनके कोर्स को पूरा कराने के लिये घर पर ही बच्चों के बीच दो चरणों में पारा शिक्षकों एवं शिक्षकों के सहयोग से एक प्रतियोगिता करायी गयी थी। इसी प्रतियोगिता को सफलता पूर्वक पूरा किये जाने के लिये प्रतियोगी बच्चों को प्रोत्सहित किया गया। कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में बीपीओ कृष्णा हेंब्रम, मनोज कुमार, सीआरपी कल्याणी कुमारी, जैकलिन विलियम एक्का, अपर्णा कुंडू, रूबी देव, विंध्याचल राय, झालु महतो, निखलेश महतो, शुभाशीष दास, भागीरथ हजाम, मोहम्मद हाशिम, अशोक महतो, दिलीप कुमार महतो आदि का सराहनीय योगदान रहा।
