भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय राजीव गांधी की 78 वीं जयंती जिला व्यवहार न्यायालय सासाराम के पास मनाया गया।
रोहतास जिला कांग्रेस कमेटी के पदाधिकारी एवं कार्यकर्ताओं ने सद्भावना दिवस के रूप में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री की जयंती मनाते हुए उनके तैल चित्र पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर राष्ट्रीय एकता एवं सद्भावना की शपथ भी ली।
कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कर रहे नोटरी सह बरिष्ठ कांग्रेसी नेता कन्हैया सिंह नोटरी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि महज 40 वर्ष की उम्र में ही राजीव गांधी देश के प्रधानमंत्री बनने के साथ उन्होंने शहर की तर्ज पर गांव के विकास की
परिकल्पना की।जिसके तहत आज नली-गली पक्कीकरण, विद्युतीकरण आदि का लाभ लोगों को मिल रहा है।उनका मानना था कि समाज के अंतिम पायदान पर खड़े व्यक्ति को भी सरकार की योजनाओं का लाभ मिले तभी देश का समग्र विकास संभव हो सकता है। गौरतलब हो कि पूरे भारतवर्ष में हर वर्ष 20 अगस्त को पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी जयंती को सद्भावना दिवस के रूप में मनाई जाती है तथा लोगों को राष्ट्रीय एकता एवं समरसता का संदेश दिया जाता है।

रोहतास एसपी आशीष भारती ने डेहरी स्थित पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय में प्रेसवार्ता कर जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि काराकाट थानाक्षेत्र अंतर्गत मिश्रवलिया गाँव स्थित हनुमान मंदिर के समीप एक घर में चोरी की कुछ मोटरसाइकिल छिपाकर रखी गई है। जिसको बेचने की योजना अपराधियों द्वारा बनाई जा रही है। सूचना प्राप्त होते ही रोहतास एसपी आशीष भारती ने काराकाट थानाध्यक्ष के नेतृत्व में एक विशेष टीम का गठन किया। विशेष गठित टीम के द्वारा त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए जोरावरपुरा पुल के पास घेराबंदी कर बिकलेश कुमार चौधरी उर्फ मिथिलेश चौधरी उर्फ खोखा को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त दरिहट थानाक्षेत्र के बैरकअप गांव निवासी बबलू चौधरी उर्फ बंगाली चौधरी का पुत्र बताया है। गिरफ्तार अपराधकर्मी के पास से पुलिस ने एक देशी कट्टा, एक जिंदा कारतूस, एक मोबाइल फोन, 5 फर्जी सिम एवं एक अपाचे मोटरसाइकिल भी बरामद किया है। गिरफ्तार अपराधकर्मी के द्वारा कुछ दिनों पूर्व इटिमहां बाजार स्थित एक आभूषण दुकान में हुई लूट की घटना में अपनी संलिप्तता स्वीकार की है।
वही रोहतास एसपी आशीष भारती ने बताया कि गिरफ्तारी में शामिल सभी पुलिस पदाधिकारी एवं कर्मियों को पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।

रोहतास जिले के दरिहट थानाक्षेत्र अंतर्गत मझियाव गाँव के सोन नदी के छठ घाट पर नहाने के क्रम में पानी में डूबने से एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई। छठ पर्व के सोमवार की सुबह मझियाव गाँव स्थित सोन नदी के तट पर बने छठ घाट पर पूजा करने गए बभिचन भुईयां पिता श्री भुईयां की पानी में डूबने से मौत हो गई। घटना का पता तब चला जब पत्नी कपड़े लेकर पानी के बाहर इंतजार करती रही काफी समय बीत जाने के बाद भी बभिचन भुइयाँ जल से बाहर नहीं निकले तब जाकर पत्नी ने कमेटी के लोगों को बताया। छठ पूजा कमेटी के सदस्यो के द्वारा पानी में खोजबीन करने के बाद मृत अवस्था में बभिचन का शव बरामद हुआ। मौके पर दरिहट थाने की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंचकर शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सासाराम सदर अस्पताल भेज दिया। घटना की खबर सुनते ही डेहरी अंचलाधिकारी अनामिका कुमारी, प्रखंड विकास पदाधिकारी पुरुषोत्तम त्रिवेदी मौके पर पहुंचे एवं घटना के बारे में जानकारी ली। अंचल अधिकारी ने छठ पूजा के दिन हुए घटना पर दुख व्यक्त किया एवं उन्होंने बताया कि सुरक्षा के दृष्टि से सभी जगह गोताखोर एवं पुलिस प्रशासन की व्यवस्था की गई थी। परंतु अधिक जल नहीं होने के बाद भी युवक की मौत हुई है। उन्होंने बताया कि परिजनों के अनुसार युवक का पहले से भी तबीयत खराब था। मृत व्यक्ति मजदूर वर्ग से संबंध रखता था एवं चार लड़की एवं एक लड़का था जिसके जाने से परिवार में कोहराम मचा हुआ है।

राजद नेता व पैक्स अध्यक्ष बृजेंद्र सिंह यादव हत्याकांड में आरोपी शिवपुर निवासी राकेश दुबे के घर गुरुवार को कुर्की जब्ती की कार्रवाई की गई । इस आशय की जानकारी दण्डाधिकारी के रूप में नियुक्त करगहर सीओ अनिल प्रसाद सिंह ने दी । उन्होंने बताया कि न्यायालय के आदेश के आलोक में यह कार्रवाई की गई । कुर्की जब्ती के दौरान घर में रखे सभी सामानों जिसमें बक्से, दरवाजा, चौखट किवाड़, चापाकल आदि को पुलिस ने जप्त कर ले थाना लाया गया है।उन्होंने बताया कि विगत 4 सितंबर को करगहर फुली पथ में नीमडीहरा मोड़ के समीप बाइक सवार अपराधियों ने विजेंद्र सिंह यादव को गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी थी । जिससे घटनास्थल पर ही उनकी मौत हो गई थी ।उन्होंने भूमि विवाद में हुई हत्या में मृतक की पत्नी इंदु देवी ने थाना क्षेत्र के शिवपुर निवासी राम प्रवेश दुबे उर्फ सुपन दुबे, उमेश दुबे उर्फ दीपू दुबे, राजेश कुमार दुबे ,राकेश कुमार दुबे उर्फ गुड्डू दुबे सभी पिता शिव प्रसाद दुबे तथा दीपक पाठक पिता केदार पाठक ग्राम उसीना थाना करगहर के विरुद्ध एफ आई आर दर्ज कराई थी।इस मामले में तीन नामजद अभियुक्त पहले से ही एक अन्य हत्याकांड में जेल में बंद थे।जबकि दीपक पाठक को हत्या के दौरान स्थल से गिरफ्तार किया गया था । पांचवा आरोपी राकेश कुमार दुबे फरार चल रहा था । जिसकी वजह से कुर्की जब्ती की कार्रवाई करनी पड़ी।मौके पर थानाध्यक्ष राम विलास प्रसाद,एसआई बिंदा लाल, एसआई सुदेश्वर दास,एएसआई घनश्याम सिंह,प्रशिक्षु एसआई सुपरिया भारती सहिय दर्जनों पुलिस कर्मी व ग्रामीण पुलिस मौजूद थे
