Underground cabling work & mismanagement by the dept causes damage to water pipeline in Mapusa.
Although the locals of Pernem constituency are pleased with the government’s decision to lay underground electricity cables, the cabling work is causing inconvenience to locals and tourists alike due to the contractor’s haphazard work. Locals state that the contractor has begun digging roads along the Sawalwada road without keeping the safety of commuters in mind and has left the roads in a mess leading to traffic. Stating that the govt has no control over the contractors, locals requested the PWD minister and the electricity minister to take action.
