I pay tributes to the great patriot, the great scientist and 'The People's President', Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

Even the name of Dr. Kalam brings smile on the faces of children; these smiles are the smiles having dreams of India's bright future, these smiles have the passion to take India forward on the path of development.

Dr. Kalam quoted that 'Dreams are not what you see while sleeping, dreams are something which do not let you sleep.'

Dr. Kalam is a truly a big inspiration to us all.

In the book 'India 2020: Vision for the New Millennium', Dr. Kalam outlined a vision for a great India and about the roadmap of India's development.

In this book, the three main points which he put forth as the idea of India's bright future have been:

1) India as a nation must recognise her potential in order to embrace development

2) We will have to develop the technology-based economy

3) We will have to adopt a Balanced Growth Model, i.e. promoting a balanced development between Rural and Urban India, between Agriculture and Industry.

The country's youth has a great role to play in this.
