फाइनेंस मिनिस्टर ने बजट प्रेजेंट करते हुए टैक्स देने वालों को खुश कर दिया। नए टैक्स नियमों के अनुसार अब 3 लाख से 5 लाख तक की इनकम वालों पर सिर्फ 5 परसेंट टैक्स लगेगा और तीन लाख रूपए तक इनकम की वालों को अब कोई टैक्स नहीं देना।
नए नियमों के अनुसार पांच लाख रूपए तक की इनकम वाले अगर इनकम टैक्स एक्ट के दौरान इन्वेस्ट करते हैं तो पूरी इनकम, इनकम टैक्स के दायरे से बाहर हो जाएगी जिससे पांच लाख तक की इनकम वालों का टैक्स आधा हो जाएगा. इससे ज्यादा वाले सभी स्लैब में 12500 रूपए का फायदा होगा.
50 लाख से एक करोड़ रुपए की इनकम वालों पर दस परसेंट सरचार्ज लगेगा. पांच लाख तक की इनकम वालों को इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न दाखिल करते समय सिर्फ एक पेज का फॉर्म भरना होगा. पहली बार रिटर्न भरने वालों को एक साल तक स्क्रूटिनी से छूट मिल गयी है।
जेटली ने 2017-18 का बजट पेश करते हुए कहा टैक्स टू जीडीपी अनुपात बहुत कम है. डायरेक्ट टैक्स में असली तस्वीर सामने नहीं आती। साढ़े चार करोड़ सैलरी पाने वाले हैं लेकिन टैक्स देने वाले एक करोड़ के आस-पास हैं. 13 लाख कंपनियां रजिस्टर्ड हैं. लेकिन रिटर्न लगभग 5.7 लाख कंपनियों ने ही दाखिल किया है. तीन लाख कंपनियों ने तो कोई आय या मुनाफा दिखाया ही नहीं. सिर्फ 7 हजार कंपनियों ने दस करोड़ से ज्यादा का मुनाफा बताया.
