One of the biggest and the greatest achievements of human race came as a result of what was termed as the space race between United States of America and the Soviet Union. The ambitious challenge of then President of the United States, John F. Kennedy to land a man on the Moon and returning safe to earth was achieved overwhelmingly when Neil Armstrong took the first giant leap for mankind by becoming the first person to walk on the surface of the moon along with fellow astronaut Edwin Aldrin. This incredible space triumph by NASA was watched by over 600 million people on earth and rest is history!!
