उत्तर बंगाल थेलेसिमिया व विकलांग सेवा संस्थान की ओर से सिलीगुड़ी में बांग्ला साहित्य के महान कवि काजीनजरुल इस्लाम की 120 वीं जयंती मनाई गयी।संस्था के सदस्यों ने सिलीगुड़ी शहर के पाकुडताला स्थित विद्रोही कवि काजीनजरुल इस्लाम की मूर्ति पर माल्यार्पण कर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की . इस अवसर पर संस्था के संयोजक विमल कृष्ण बनिक समेत अन्य सदस्यों ने काजीनजरुल इस्लाम की उपलब्धियों पर प्रकाश डाला और लोगों से मुख्य रूप से नई पीढ़ी के लोगों से उनके आदर्शों पर चलने का आह्वान किया।
