Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 30 runs in the match played at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. Rajasthan had set a target of 165 against Bangalore. Bangalore's strong batting order stacked on just 134 runs in 19.2 overs. With this, Bangalore's hopes of going in the playoffs have ended, while Rajasthan will have to rely on the results of the remaining teams to make it to the last-four stage.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals scored 164 runs for the loss of five wickets after opener Rahul Tripathi (80 not out) made the best half-century. Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane decided to bat first before winning the toss, but no other batsman except Rahul could play a big innings.

Rahul scored five sixes in 58 balls and three sixes in the innings. Krishnappa Gautam scored an unbeaten 14 off five balls with the help of two sixes to give Rajasthan a respectable score. They put two sixes in the last over. Umesh took three wickets for Bangalore.

Kohli did not make any changes to his team. Rajasthan made three changes in its team. Both Jose Butler and Ben Stokes have returned home. Henrik Klasse, Ben Locklin and Shreyas Gopal got place in Rajasthan team

This match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is important for both Rajasthan and RCB. RCB and Royals have the same 12-12 points and they are fifth and sixth respectively in the numerical position.
