Allahabad, 18 April- Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapa's chopped body parts have been found from Allahabad. Mumbai police revealed the news on Wednesday, on Apr 18.
Earlier on Monday, police arrested Preeti and Amit - the two main accused of the murder case. According to police sources, the body parts were dumped in a water tank near Preeti's house in Allahabad.
Preeti and Amit allegedly lured Meenakshi to get a role of heroine in a Bhojpuri film and thus the model and an aspiring actress (Meenakshi) had gone to Allahabad along with the two accused.
Preeti and Amit, according to police, were under the impression that Meenakshi was from an wealthy family and her family members would not hesitate to give any amount of money if they kidnap Meenakshi.
However, the duo ultimately killed Meenakshi brutally and to confuse the investigative officials about Meenakshi's identification, they beheaded the actress, said police sources.

A young Bollywood actress has been kidnapped and murdered by two aspiring actors after a ransom bid went wrong, the Telegraph has reported.
Meenakshi Thapar, known for her role in the Indian horror film 404, was found hacked to death, with different parts of her body placed at two separate sites.
The 26-year-old mutilated head was found on a road to Mumbai. Her dismembered torso was disposed of in a water tank.
Struggling actors Amit Jaiswal, 36, and Preeti Surin, 26, were accused of kidnapping and beheading the star on the set of her latest film, Heroine.
Mumbai police said that Jaiswal and Surin allegedly invited Thapar on a trip to Gorakhpur, a small town close to the Nepalese border, where they held her hostage. They sent a message to Thapar's Nepali parents demanding a hefty ransom.

The Times of India reported, 'The murder accused Amit Jaiswal and Preeti Sarin have confessed to killing Thapa lured by ransom.'
'The accused claimed they had dumped the body in the tank a month ago after strangulating 26-year-old Meenakshi, and therefore, the corpse was now 'in a semi-decomposed state', Yadav said. 'We believe it to be Meenakshi Thapa's body on the basis of alleged killers' statement,' the police officer said.'
'The duo first befriended Thapa noting her high profile lifestyle and then brought her to Allahabad under the pretext of fixing a meeting with a Bhojpuri producer. Later, she was abducted by Jaiswal and Sarin, police said.'
'The accused, who have dabbled with some modelling assignments as well, called up Thapa's mother in Dehradun demanding Rs. 1,50,000 as ransom to let her off. However, the parents could cough up only Rs. 60,000. It was then that the duo decided to kill Thapa, police said.
