Under the leadership of CITU National Secretary Kashmir Singh Thakur, the demand letter has been submitted to the CM through Hamirpur Development Block Officer. CITU officials say that the Labor Welfare Board has been formed after the formation of Sukhu government in Himachal Pradesh. In which the benefits which were given to the workers have been stopped.

Outsourced personnel of Jal Shakti Department, Sewerage Treatment Plant, Gumma Water Supply and Shimla Jal Management Corporation participated in this demonstration. The union has warned the state government that if the outsourced workers are not regularized, policy is not formulated for them, minimum wages are not ensured and they are not stopped from taking more than eight hours of work, then the agitation will intensify.
