समाज की बेहतरी के लिए अदम्य साहस दिखाने वाली महिलाओं और बालिकाओं को सीएम योगी ने गुरुवार को रानी लक्ष्मी बाई वीरता पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। लखनऊ के लोकभवन में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में सीएम ने 15 लोगों को पुरस्कार दिया। अन्य लोगों को महिला एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री रीता बहुगुणा जोशी और राज्यमंत्री स्वाति सिंह समेत अन्य मंत्रियों ने पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित किया। इस मौके पर धर्मनाथ मिश्र व उस्ताद सखावत हुसैन खान को बेगम अख्तर पुरस्कार भी दिया गया। कार्यक्रम में सीएम योगी ने कहा कि हम सबके लिए प्रसन्नता का क्षण है कि एक साथ इतनी महिलाओं को सम्मानित करने का अवसर मिला है। पुरस्कार के लिए चयन अपने और पराए के आधार पर नहीं बल्कि उनके अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में किए गए योगदान के आधार पर किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले वर्ष हाईस्कूल व इंटर की परीक्षाओं में टॉप 10 में जगह बनाने वाले मेधावियों को सम्मानित करने का कार्य भी हमने शुरू किया है। यह जानकर अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई कि टॉप टेन में शामिल 147 विद्याार्थियों में से 99 सिर्फ बालिकाएं थीं। बालिकाओं ने अपनी प्रतिभा का लोहा मनवाया है। सीएम ने कहा कि परिवार में बालिका जन्म लेती है तो सबसे पहली टिप्पणी घर की दादी की होती है। ऐसी मानसिकता को बदलना होगा। बालक हो या बालिका, उसके साथ समान व्यवहार किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि कुछ जिले ऐसे हैं, जहां बालिकाओं के साथ भेदभाव की शिकायतें आती हैं। लिंगानुपात में भारी अंतर देखने को मिल रही है।
