राखी और मिठाइयों से सजी थाल और खाकी वर्दी में बैठे भाइयों की कतार। ये नजारा है रोहिणी जिला के प्रशांत विहार थाने का , जहाँ स्थानीय महिलाओं ने ड्यूटी पर तैनात पुलिसकर्मियों के कलाइयों पर राखी बाँध कर रक्षाबंधन का त्यौहार मनाया।
महिलाओं का कहना था की दिल्ली पुलिस उनकी सुरक्षा में चौबीस घंटे तत्पर रहती है , और जो पुलिसकर्मी ड्यूटी की वजह से अपनी बहनों के पास नहीं जा सके उनके लिये ये महिलायें बहन बन कर थाने पहुँची हैं।

गौरतब है की रोहिणी में रह रहे कारोबारी अमित गुप्ता को पुलिस थाने में थर्ड डिग्री टॉर्चर देने के आरोप लगे थे --कसूर सिर्फ इतना था की कारोबारी की कार पुलिस वालों की बाइक से टकरा गयी थी --इस घटना की खबर जब दिल्ली दर्पण टीवी और दिल्ली आज तक ने दिखाई तो लोगों का गुस्सा उबल पड़ा-- इस मामले में रोहिणी की जनता ने एकजुटता के साथ इसका विरोध किया --दो दिन तक थाने के बहार धरना भी दिया -- इलाके के डीसीपी ऋषिपाल ने इस पर सज्ञान लिया और पीड़ित परिवार साथ स्थानीय प्रमुख लोगों और विधायक को सही करवाई का भरोसा दिया और साथ ही यह भी कहा की पूरे मामले में तीन पुलिसकर्मियों को ससपेंड कर रहे है --
विधायक भी इस पर डीसीपी का धन्यवाद तो कर ही रहे है साथ ही इस सफलता का श्रेय क्षेत्र की जनता और दिल्ली दर्पण टीवी को दे रहे है
कारोबारी अमित के शरीर पर पिटाई के जो निशान नजर आये उसे देखक यह यकीन पर पाना मुश्किल था की दिल्ली पुलिस किसी आम नागरिक के साथ ऐसा सलूक भी कर सकती है। पुलिस पर मामले को दबाने के आरोप भी लगे। देर से ही सही रोहिणी जिला पुलिस उपयुक्त ऋषिपाल के संज्ञान में आने के बाद, दोषी पुलिस वालों पर करवाई की गयी और विभागीय जांच के आदेश दिए गए है

रोहिणी जिला पुलिस ने 16 जुआरियों को प्रशांत विहार एरिया से पकड़ा और इनके पास से ₹238000 और 164 टोकन भी पुलिस ने बरामद किये। दिल्ली पुलिस ने बताया कि दिल्ली पुलिस को 7 अगस्त 2023 को एक सीक्रेट इंफॉर्मेशन मिली थी कि प्रशांत विहार क्षेत्र के अंदर अंबा टावर 2nd फ्लोर में रोहिणी सेक्टर 9 के अंतर्गत जुए का कारोबार चल रहा है। तुरंत स्पेशल स्टाफ की टीम ने वहां रेड की और 16 लोगों को वहां पर पकड़ा जिनके पास कैश और टोकन थे और प्ले कार्ड्स के द्वारा वे वहां पर जुआ खेल रहे थे।
शुरुआती जांच में सामने आया है कि यह जुए का अड्डा राजकुमार नाम के एक शख्स द्वारा चलाया जा रहा था जो हरियाणा के सोनीपत का रहने वाला है और उसने ही यहां पर इन सभी प्लेयर्स को बुलाया था। फिलहाल पुलिस ने गैंबलिंग एक्ट की धाराओं के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर 16 लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है और जांच जारी है ।
